Where will the cruise be leaving from?The cruise will be leaving from Galveston, TX.

What day should I arrive for the cruise?We are asking everyone to plan to arrive the day before, Wednesday, October 11, 2023, to ensure that you do not miss the cruise. We will host a reception in a nearby hotel, so we can celebrate and go over any last minute changes or announcements we all need to know. Stay tuned for hotel information.

Do you need a passport?Yes. You will need your boarding pass, photo ID, which is your passport and proof of American citizenship, when you check in at the port. Be sure have these handy so as not to slow the flow of traffic at the counter. The check-in process goes smoothly, but it does take time. Be sure to fill out the information in on line before you arrive at the port. It will help the process to go more smoothly.

What are the COVID-19 Requirements?Proof of vaccine or letter from a physician stating medical reasons why you cannot be vaccinated. Testing before boarding and testing before debarkation will be done. Check cruise line website for the latest updates on COVID.

How should I pack for the cruise?Most cruises will have a least one formal night. Cruises seven nights or more generally will have two formal nights. So put on the “Ritz”. Formal is not necessarily tux for the men and long gowns for the women, but at least a coat and tie for the guys and a party dress/pant suit for the ladies. Other evening in the dining room is resort casual. Attire for sea days is relaxed casual wear. On port days, wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. No swimsuits or shorts allowed in the dining room.

How will my luggage be handled on the cruise?Your luggage may already be in your cabin when you arrive, but do not be alarmed if it takes several hours. If you will need mediation soon after you have boarded the ship, please be sure to have this in your carry on luggage.

How should I handle carry-on luggage?All carry-on luggage should be tagged. Medication should be in your carry-on luggage. When you complete the online check in process, you will need to print need your luggage tags. Do not put these tags on your baggage until you are ready to make your way to the ship.

Will I have access to my email while on the cruise?Yes, you may check your emails on the ship for a fee per minute. It is best to have a hotmail account or yahoo account so you don’t waste time booting up your provider. You can place phone calls on the ship also at a higher than normal price. For emergencies your family may contact you at the number listed on the cruise line website.

Will my cellphone work on the cruise?Yes, your cellphone will work on the cruise, however, there maybe roaming fees. We recommend checking with your cell phone service provider before leaving home.

Will there be other excursions we can go on that is not planned by the cruise line and/or the host team?Yes, but please be careful about non sanctioned shore excursions. These are tours that are offered at the port, but not by the ship. Safety is always a major concern, but also returning to the ship on time is an important issue. Visit the shore excursion desk to find out what is available at your ports. You may also book shore excursions online. We advise you to book your shore excursions early online because the most popular excursions will sell out early.

Are there other fees or gratuities I need to be aware of?If the standard gratuities are prepaid, you may choose to reward a particular person more than the suggested amount. If envelopes are delivered to your cabin, you will use these if you choose to reward a particular crew member for excellent service. All bar orders will automatically have a gratuity added to the bill, so do not feel you need to tip these additionally.

Do I have to pay for photos taken by ship photographer?You will find many opportunities for photos by the ship’s photographers. The first will be just as you are ready to board, but you do not have to purchase any of these, but you may. If you are traveling with a group, group shots may be arranged in advanced. If so, we will let you know ahead of time.

When will the dining area be available after we board the ship?After you board the ship food will be available immediately in the casual dining area. Sodas are an extra cost just as any alcoholic beverage. You are confirmed for either main, late dining or any time. However, please check your daily schedule for the time. Breakfast and lunch are open seating in the dining room or you may choose to go through the buffet.

How should I prepare for the disembark?The night before you disembark you will need to check over your bill and have your luggage outside your door by midnight. Be sure you leave out clothes to wear home. Your cabin steward will leave you luggage tags and custom forms in your cabin. On the morning you disembark you will need to vacate your cabin early so as to give the crew time to prepare for the next cruisers. You will assemble in a designated public area on that morning and wait for your luggage tag color to be called. Your luggage should be in that area. Sometimes it is a search and find game. If you choose to self assist (carry off your luggage) you will disembark early.
